SIM Card Installation :
 Figure 3 to 5: Unscrew and slide two side casing.
 Figure 6 and 7 : Pull the antenna connector upward to take out the circuit board.
 Figure 8 to 10: Insert a SIM card as the chip side facing to the connector on circuit board.
 If function of SMS para-setting/tracking is required , please make sure SMS/GPRS service is available.

Connector Description
A4A It’s RS232 interface that supports Camera/RFID/RS232 Fuel Sensor/Set parameter or Upgrade Via PC.
 It’s used for setting from PC by defaulted.
 For RFID reader and RS232 Fuel sensor,it should be configured via command before connecting sensor.

A4B It’s RS232 interface that can support Camera/RFID/RS232 Fuel Sensor.
 It’s used for connecting camera by defaulted.
 For RFID reader and RS232 Fuel sensor,it should be configured via command before connecting sensor.

 Figure 16 : Switch with ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ is used to turn on/off the in-built battery.
 Figure 16 : Switch with ‘ISP’ is used to select debugging mode or working mode.
Debugging mode is for upgrading firmware.
 Figure 16 : Anti-dismantle Switch is used for detecting if the housing is open.
 Figure 17 & 18 : Voltage adapted swithc is used for selecting power supplier.
With this switch, T20 selects +12V DC or +24V DC power supplier.

Alarm buttons, door sensors, ignition, etc. return two states : high or low voltage. Digital inputs are used to read this information.
When connected as shown below, T20 disables fuel pump when output (yellow wire )
is ON.

4 FEATURES

4.1 Operational principals
80T2 is designed to acquire records and send them to the server. Records contain GPS and I/O information. Use GPS receiver to acquire GPS data and is powered with three data acquire methods : time-based, distance-based and angle-based method. All data can be sent via GPRS channels. T20 communicates with server using special data protocol.
80T2 can be managed by SMS commands. SMS Command list is described in 6.1 SMS Command list section.
4.2 Trip Location
T20 can report its trip location to the server. There are three reporting methods :time-based, distance-based and angle-based.
Time-based: With a timer inside, 80T2 send records to the server when the preset time comes. Timer will be cleared and count until the next preset time comes. For example, if the preset time is 30 seconds, T20 reports records every 30 seconds to the server.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.21 for setting commands.
Distance-based: With a distance counter inside, 80T2 send records to the server when the preset distance’s counted. For example, if the preset distance is 100 meters, T20 sends records every
100 meters it runs.
Distance interval is 100 meters by defaulted,which can be set by server.
Angle-based:80 T2 send records to the server when direction at which it’s heading changes with a preset degree. (The preset degree is 30 degree by defaulted)

Blind area re-upload: While T20 is within GPRS blind area and fails to send records to the server, it save those records into flash and resent them when GPRS signal is available again.
4.3 GPS Mileage
GPS mileage is used to calculate traveled distance. When T20 detects movement, it starts counting distance using GPS signal : every second it checks its current position and calculate the distance between current and previous position. It keeps adding these intervals and record the total value.
The initial mileage can be reset by server.
4.4 Disassemble Alarm
80-T2 send alarm info to the server once the housing is open,which requires standby battery turnning on.
Please refer to figure 17 & 18 for anti-dismantle switch.
4.4 Over speed alarm
80-T2 send alarm info to the server while exceeding fixed speed and make noise alert if it’s necessary. Helps to prevent from exceeding fixed speed, there’s early warning when it’s 95% close to the fixed speed.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.23 for setting commands.
4.5 Fatigue driving alarm
Continuous driving time exceeds fixed threshold, T20 will send alarm info to the server. It has to stop for more than fixed time to cancel that alarm.
This function is inactivated by defaulted and it has to be set by server.
4.6 Over time parking alarm
Continuous parking time exceeds fixed threshold, 80-T2 will send alarm info to the server.
This function is inactivated by defaulted and it has to be set by server.
4.7 Main power down alarm
Every second T20 detects power supplier connection, if power is down, it will send alarm info to the sever and SMS alarm to authorized cellphone number.

Note:Please make sure the backup battery is on.
4.8 Low voltage protection
80-T2 detects power voltage, when voltage is lower than fixed voltage, it will send alarm into to the server and cut off the connection from power supplier.
Once GPS antenna is cut or broken, T20 sends alarm info to the server.
4.10 Geo fence
Geo fence is a special rectangle area , T20 calculates and records when it enters or exits the area. There are at most twenty five geo fences can be set into T20.
Geo fence has to be set by server.
4.11 Voice call functions
Supporting two ways voice call, T20 can authorize at most four VIP phone number from which only ,calls can be picked up.
80-T2 will pick up incoming phone calls automatically only if EITHER of conditions below is met:
 Condition 1 :Set up VIP phone number. Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.12 .
 Condition 2 :Activate accepting ALL incoming phone calls automatically. Please refer to 6.1
SMS Command list No.14 .
Note: If condition 1 is activated,T20 will ignore condition 2. Microphone and speaker connection please refer to 5.4.
4.12 Voice Monitoring
Installed with microphone inside, sound from vehicle can be monitored for security concerns. Receiving command, T20 dials to fixed phone number and one way call starts.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.11 for setting commands.
4.13 Update OTA
80T2 can download new version firmware via GPRS and update itself.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.16 for setting commands.
4.14 Sleep mode
80-T2 can enter sleep mode (standby mode) only if ALL of these conditions below are met:
 80-T2 has to be configured to work in sleep mode;
 Ignition(DIN 2) is off(driven logic low);
T20 exits sleep mode if ignition(DIN2) is turned on(driven logic high).
There are four sleep modes with different behaviors to lower power consumption:

 Turn off GPS module , disconnect GPRS network. (power consumption is around 35 mA)
 Turn off GPS module, send records to the server at fixed frequency.(power consumption is around 35 mA)
 Turn off GPS module and GSM module, then turn on GSM module again at fixed frequency and send record to the server. (power consumption is around 7 mA)
 Turn off GPS module and set GSM module standby. Wake up GSM module again at fixed frequency and send record to the server. Incoming call and SMS can also wake up GSM module.(power consumption is around 7 mA to 20 mA)
Sleep mode is inactivated by defaulted.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.18 for setting commands.
4.15 SOS Alarm
Once press SOS button, T20 reports sos alarm information to the server as there’s an emergency and SMS alarm to authorized cellphone number.

4.16 Abnormal Temperature Alarm
Installed with temperature sensor, T20 can detect the temperature value.Once the temperature value is out of the preset range,there will be alarm sent to the server.
4.17 Low Fuel Level Alarm
Installed with fuel sensor,T20 can detect the fuel level percentage value.Once the fuel level is lower than the preset one,there will be alarm sent to the server.
4.18 Steal Fuel Alarm
Installed with fuel sensor,T20 can detect the fuel level percentage value.Once the fuel level decreses1 more than the preset range,there will be alarm sent to the server in case fuel is being stolen. SMS alarm will also be sent to authorized cellphone number.

4.19 Harsh Acceleration Alarm
80-T2 reports alarm info to the server when its acclerated velocity increses more than the preset limit.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.28 for setting commands.
4.20 Harsh Acceleration Alarm
T20 reports alarm info to the server when its acclerated velocity decreses more than the preset limit.
Please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.29 for setting commands.

5 SENSOR
5.1 Camera
80-T2 supports two cameras at most via RS232 interface.
 One camera installation :camera should be connected via A4B connector.
 Two cameras installation :cameras should be connected via A4A and A4B connectors.
In this case, A4B is No.1 camera. A4A is No.2 camera. Please refer to figure 14.
Note:
A4A and A4B are RS232 connectors which support not only cameras but also other sensors. Refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.20, please send SMS command to define its function.

T20 supports RS232 fuel sensor, fuel utilization can be managed. With high-precision measurement of fuel level in a fuel tank, the sensor gives detailed information about fuel tank refueling, draining and consumption, prevents fraud or unauthorized use of fuel.
The latest advanced fuel sensor model is FS02
From FS02,there are three cables (black&blue&yellow) that should be connected with conversion cable of T20:

Note:Do NOT connect to red cable from conversion cable.

FS02 has to be installed in vehicle fuel tank, please refer to <FS02 installation manual.pdf> for further installtaion information.
T20 should be set to support RS232 fuel sensor by command.
 Refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.24, please send SMS command to define function.
 Finished the connection between T20 and FS02,please refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.25 to check the fuel status.
5.3 RFID reader
80-T2  supports RFID reader and card which can be used to get driver ID or goods information.

RFID reader connects to A4A or A4B port via a conversion cable.

80-T2 should be set to support RFID readerr by command.
 Refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.24, please send SMS command to define function.
RFID reader Further application:
If installing RFID reader for making driver identification,it can control engine starter based on whether the driver sign in or not.Only if the driver tags the RFID card to sign in,he can start the vehicle.
 Refer to 6.1 SMS Command list No.27, please send SMS command to define function.
5.4 Microphone & speaker
80-T2 supports microphone and speaker which can make two ways phone call.
Connection between microphone, speaker and T20 , please refer to figure 1, figure 15 and figure
18,19 and 20.

5.5 Temperature sensor
80-T2 supports temperature sensor which can detect temperature of vehicle and cargo.
